Welcome to my website!
In case you ended up here by accident and are wondering what exactly this site is about, let me introduce myself.
My name is Elena Carter, and I write stories.
My debut urban fantasy novel ”Follow the Hummingbird” is coming out soon. You can find more information on it when you click the ”Books” tab in the main menu.
I am also currently working on my next book, a collection of short stories about a town where magic is interwoven with the ordinary everyday life.
In the ”Blog” section you will find my thoughts and insights on the writing process in general and on my journey as a writer in particular. You can subscribe to blog updates using the form on the bottom of this page.
Whether you are a reader or a fellow writer, I will be happy to connect, answer any questions or collaborate. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, here or on social media – you’ll find the links to my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts on the main page and in the ”Contact” section.
Once again, welcome to my writing home, and I hope you’ll enjoy it here!

Sure, you can hear a few seagulls yelling at each other while fighting over food, but that’s just an integral part of the scenery, nothing to be annoyed about. It’s a beautiful … Continue reading Worries, self-doubt and pigeon sh*t
